Resistant Step-mom

Hi I'm a 28 yr old living with my step-mom, dad, and half brother. There has been some marriage problems stemming from my dad being 'lazy'. My step-mom is the sole bread bringer and it's extremely frustrating to her to see my dad laze about. He does get things done eventually, but not immediately(how she wants it).

She is doing the opposite of everything in the book. This makes my dad worse. It doesn't help that he's dealing with an ailing father and a brother with brain cancer. He's mad that she's not supporting him to the extent that he's been there for her and her family that has had one crisis after another for the last 6 years.

When I mentioned some things from the book, she became upset "why should I have to change when he does NOTHING all day?!" My dad does do stuff, but at his own slow pace, but she can't ever see the positives.

Please help. 🙁
