There was nothing abusive about my post, Dr. Coleman.

Well said! It's nice to see men in here who champion our plight and understand the strong magnetism we feel toward our children. It looks like Dr. Coleman is not alone.

What it seems so difficult for people like “Eric” (if that is, in fact, your real name) to understand, possibly because they aren’t parents themselves yet so they don’t get “it”, the intense instinctive drive parents (mothers especially) feel to protect and care for their children, regardless of what those children do or say in return.
We are mammals, not reptiles.
We care for our young instinctively. It’s in our genetics to protect and care. When “Eric” says to just “get over it” or “move on”, he is ignoring that fact of human nature completely. Only a sociopath could just “move on” without great difficulty.
Those parents are not “idiots” – they are “parents”.

Wow. I can't even think of a response. Eric, are you OK?
