I haven't spoken to my father in 23 years.

Dr Joshua Coleman
Eric,
I won't pretend to know what happened in your family to cause you to feel the way that you do about your father. I assume that you're in a lot of pain. But, please do not come onto this website and assume you know anything about the people who post here. If you're looking for compassion for whatever you've experienced in your family, I think that you'll find it in good measure. However, if you're coming here as a place to transfer your anger toward your father onto people whom you've never met, and who are already in a lot of pain, please take it elsewhere. I will be taking your post down shortly and will take down all future posts unless they're done in a way that is respectful to the others here.
Thank you,
Joshua

Every once in awhile he'll try to contact me. He says he misses me and that he is in tremendous pain. Give me a break. I receive great satisfaction that our estrangement is hurting him. In fact, I hope that our estrangement causes him to slowly wither and die. I'm sure many of your children feel the same way about most of you who post here. I'm quite sure it is well deserved.
