It takes a while for the reality to hit home you may never see or hear from your child again . I think you look back and try to figure out what you did to make their life so bad and their reality of life so terrible. I think for some of us thoses answers may never come. I still say I did the best I could and am so sorry for whatever pain I caused my child. My best friends daughter is dying and I can not begin to understand her pain. My daughter is happy and alive . This Christmas my 90 year old mother came to me and admitted she blamed her mother and father ( my grandparents ) for allot of mistakes she made in her life. My mother said it was just easy to blame them by just being selfish . A new year will soon be here and new resolutions being made for health and happiness. For the new kids on the block my best advice is to let go of any abusive children and follow the path to allow yourself to be happy. Hope is always at my door. Love always in my heart and faith she will return.
