Hi, I'm the web guy.

Our goal was to simplify this forum but thanks to your feedback we've added back in the "RSS" options more prominently. so you can follow a forum with your RSS reader.

We may offer email subscriptions but that takes a bit more work.

please let us know if you have any other feedback about the interface of this forum.

Hi web guy!

Sorry I haven't checked this thread for a while; and had even forgotten I'd contributed. What is a RSS reader? Am I being ignorant here?

I still find this site pretty annoying. ALL the other forums I use, send email notifications if there is a direct response to something you have written or even if there is an addition by anyone to anyone on a thread you are "watching". Navigating this site is possible, but it is not "comfortable". Also is there any way there can be a private message facility? Someone asked for my email and I had to reply to them publicly. Not idea.

This site is a wealth of support and inspiration, but I also agree with the format. I am a member of other forums and this one is most certainly the least "user friendly". Is there any way that we could have email notifications of responses? This is what happens on most other sites. Go check out About.com – this is a fantastic format and one that successfully supported me and many others to kick the dreaded smoking habit (even with alienation in our lives :-) )

I hope this site does get a bit of a re-vamp cos it deserves it!

Dear Dr. Coleman,

I visited your site after seeing your interview on television yesterday.

With all due respect, I must say that I'm a little disappointed in the workings of your website.
Finished posts are difficult to read as the format is too small and the last word of each sentence is cut from view, leaving the reader to guess at the info. therein.

There are many of us with much to say, but your forum
is not conducive to participation….

I hope that you will re-vamp your forum, especially now that you're receiving national exposure.

What a wonderful service you could provide to a growing group of people who are in great pain, with a few changes.

Thank you for your consideration.

Hi Ellen,

Thanks for writing and I do see your point. I'm going to talk to my web guy and see what can be done about it.
All the best

Dr. Coleman, I've been trying to follow (and figure out ) this new web site. I like sites that make things easier but somehow this just isn't intuitive enough for someone who is in emotional pain. The other site actually had people making connections with each other. I don't quite see that happening here. Maybe it's just me -correct me if I'm wrong.
